Country Living Fair Atlanta!

I’m a little delinquent on my post for this, but that’s what happens when you hit the road and have to play catch up when ya get home! I’m going to keep it simple with a few pics. A big thanks to my customers! Great to see some faces from last year and meet some really nice new ones! Plus it was fantastic being next to my indie craft gal pals from VA and seeing some of my other fave vendor friends! Y’all are awesome!

The view from our hotel on Stone Mountain. Beautiful!

On the way down we made a quick stop at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel. This is a snippet of the gigantic atrium. It's really something to see and you can even take a boat ride inside this place! All the plants and buildings within the structure were quite amazing.

Our stop for the night in Chattanooga led us to some classic car viewing at the hotel. There were quite a few model T type cars, but of course this pale blue beauty caught my eye! I loved all the great details on this car!

artgoodies and Vintagegoodies tent at the show. I love the location of the show in Stone Mountain Park. Such a lovely setting among the trees! Plus it gives you the opportunity to spread out a little, and the trees were gracious enough to make a clothesline full of vintage aprons!

The vintage side at Atlanta. Loaded to the hilt with plenty of vintage housewares!

Last but not least ,the little linen towel is so sweet with its silhouettes.

So much to do so I’m going to make this snappy! Here it is, color of the month September 2011.

Fave pieces from my personal collection, the kitschy tv salt and pepper shakers! You turn the dial and the shakers pop up! And also the mini deer head mount, plus the vintage towel featuring irons! The rest you can find or will find shortly in my vintage shop, www.vintagegoodies.etsy.com Love the wood owl shakers, McCoy pitcher, owl candle, and little owl trinket box!

I got this fantastic tablecloth from a wonderful etsy seller in Canada! How gorgeous! I love the green leaves just starting to turn. The leaf melmac plates are a great match plus the copper and yellow tray with the pussy willows are a personal fave! And a couple of gold owl friends offer salt and pepper while the other owl holds some napkins!

Country Living Fair Columbus!

This is my third time at The Country Living Magazine show here in Columbus. Today is the last day and it is going to be gorgeous out! Lots of things to see, events to attend during the show, and yummy things to eat too!

I love this! What a fun and kitschy strawberry friend! Hello!

Part of my vintage display! I love how it turned out with the crates and there was even room for my Vintagegoodies banner sign!

Here's the whole tent, a lovely mix of artgoodies and Vintagegoodies. I love that I can mix both at this show!

Renegade Chicago

Well, it happened again! Another Renegade Chicago this past weekend. The weather was gorgeous and folks were out in force.  I premiered my NEW all over towels, sham pillows, and stockings along with the rest of product. Plus I had some sweet apron deals as I’m clearing them out and making way for the organic ones! Sometime I’m going to just go there as a shopper because it’s just way to big to make a quick vendor run. I missed things I wanted to see and didn’t have time to go back and get some things. I did love seeing some of my awesome vendor buddies and meeting some new tiny baby vendor friends! Next up, The Country Living Magazine Fair in OH, and yep I’ll be in GA too! Hope to see ya there!

Saturday Salsa and Freshy Fresh Apples!

Hard to believe it’s September! I’m taking a short break this weekend to gather up some goodies! Labor Day Weekend marks the official beginning of the busy season, although with NY it started much earlier this year. Renegade Chicago, The Country Living Magazine shows are just literally around the corner and there is much to do with all the orders and the holiday coming! But this weekend, I took the opportunity to make my Saturday Salsa and grab some apples from my favorite little orchard on the way to my parents.

My booty from the South Bend Farmer's Market. Annaheim peppers, poblano peppers, sweet and hot Hungarian banana peppers, cubanelle peppers, jalapeno peppers, tomatillos, cilantro, onion, garlic, lime.

And here it is Saturday Salsa! My tomato-less salsa for the year. I'll put it in small containers in the freezer after it sets for a few days. Perfect for dippin chips, chili, makin my spicy ricey, and other delicious dishes! Don't ya just love the color!

I did a post last year at this time on the lovely little orchard I like to go to. This year they added this cute sign to their little apple barn!

We nabbed a mixed bag of delicious fresh from the tree apples, but I had to capture the sunlight on this variety that I've never had before. I see an apple pie in my future.

color of the month- The Green Scene

Fall is headed our way, you can feel the air change but it’s gorgeous, beautiful, and oh so dreamy out! Time to take advantage of the last days of summer and enjoy all the lush green plants before they disappear! So here it is, color of the month August 2011!

Fave items- adorable minty canisters, the squirrel planters of course, the burlap picnic ware, and fingertip bingo spinner! All anchored by a vintage tea towel as usual!

Tea for two this month! My mom snagged this gorgeous tablecloth with dark and minty green for me- nice score mom! The polka dot napkins make a return and the dark green melmac is Color Flyte by Branchell. Plus tea time wouldn't be quite complete without a canister of cookies!

NYIGF recap

Lots of people have been asking me about my NY trip, so here’s a quick recap for you all.  I’m still digesting the long, busy, and tiring travel week. Luckily we had part of a day before the show to have a bit of time in the city. We headed down to Ground Zero,  the church across the street and the 9/11 Memorial Museum.  I still can’t seem to find the words. Then we headed off for a ride on the Staten Island Ferry for a glimpse of the Statue or Liberty before we headed back to the show for final set up adjustments. Oh and I have to mention Flavors- a spot that has local organic food- best smoothie ever, go and get a carrot, orange, pineapple one! We stayed in Times Square which is way too touristy for me, but we managed to find a great Thai restaurant a few blocks away and breakfast at Junior’s- you can’t go wrong with a giant cup of coffee, the best marmalade ever, and some old school Jazz in the morning. Plus a piece of Junior’s carrot cake cheesecake to go helped get me through the week. At the very end of the show we caught the Lion King on Broadway, and had a fun time watching a bunch of teenagers run after Lady Gaga. As far as the show, artgoodies picked up some great new accounts, met a few existing ones in person, and talked to lots of magazines! There are a few great opportunities at hand as well.  I had some awesome neighbors and it was overall a great experience with tons of brand exposure! The booth build out went great with the help of a couple of awesome hired hands- thanks gals! It was fun to see my whole product line in its own little showroom and my bike towel was also part of the NYIGF sustainability exhibit! Now for the fun part, making product and filling all those orders!

I'm lookin a little tired but excited to have my towel featured in the sustainability exhibit!
