December Color of the Month

Tis the Season where color of the month gets taken over by my holiday table and display! This year I wanted to do something different for the table setting. I’ve had this amazing aqua themed holiday tablecloth for some time and my parents got me this aqua Russel Wright set this summer, great find! It goes great together and adds a fresh feel to the table.

The blue backed house shaped shelf fits right in with my other vintage crates making for a nice display setting. So many new vintage pieces this year too! Follow my artgoodies instagram account for close ups of these gems, exclusive sales, etc.

Vintage Holiday Magazine Home Feature!!!

Hooray! I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to have our home featured in the Fall issue of Vintage Holiday Magazine! 18 whopping pages of gorgeous photos by David Sparks, EIGHTEEN! You have to see this in print, the colors and pics are so bright and crisp, they turned out so so great! It should be out in about another week I’d say. On top of the photos, I give design tips etc. My house was also featured in the Summer 2013 issue of Cottage Style Magazine which was incredible, and I also had a blast styling it for that too! SO so much fun, I’d absolutely love to get more stylist work! I’ve had the honor of working with Vintage Holiday on a couple of previous occasions where they featured parts of my collection so I was absolutely thrilled about the whole house shoot. I had so much fun styling up the entire house for this, and also being the photo shoot stylist day of. At first I thought it was just the main living area but then they asked to see the bedrooms so I transformed them into holiday heaven. I’ve obviously gathered quite the collection over the years. My focus is on vintage Japan holiday decor and I’ve been able to get quite a few unusual pieces while gathering goods for my customers. You can purchase vintage holiday both in my etsy shop here and also in my new Instagram shop here. I’ll be listing items all season, and act fast, great holiday vintage has already been flying out the door! Plus I’ll be listing a few pieces here and there that I used as styling props but aren’t my absolute favorites. AND you can, of course, purchase the artgoodies holiday product you see throughout the magazine pages and then some here on my website. I can’t wait to decorate this season, we’ve picked up some great new pieces at estate sales this year! I don’t know why this text is all running together, technology, ha.

Color of the Month October 2017!

October! Fall! But the weather feels awesome like summer, so…hooray! The garden is still producing nicely and we’re enjoying a lot of time outside. We just celebrated our one year anniversary, my parents birthdays with a little lake visit, and tomorrow I celebrate 1 year of recovering from a major surgery and being overjoyed that what they thought was potentially cancerous was benign. WHAT. A. YEAR! There are so many things to say and yet I can’t quite find the right words. So instead, I give you color of the month October 2017!
Fave vintage: striped glasses from Brazil, orange casserole/fridgie, Halloween Gurley candles, Tang pitcher, pyrex mugs, juice glass, Halloween blow mold, artgoodies oak leaf towel up top, anchored by a black, probably mourning, hankie.

Home for the Holidays Part 1

In lieu of color of the month, the annual home for the holidays December edition! I’m hustling and bustling as usual over here and getting ready to go to Chicagoland in a week for my magical pop up shop INSIDE the bottom of the giant Christmas tree! So I’m extra busy, no time to waste!
blog holiday 2015 side

It’s fun to mix up the holiday display a little every year! A change in the boxes including the addition of a little house shaped one, some new blow mold lights, a plastic Santa cookie jar, new bottle brush trees, a few new colored reindeer, and a few new small friends too! I have sold some pieces in case you’re wondering, and you might wanna head to the vintage shop to scope out the well stocked vintage holiday section there! After the feature in Vintage Holiday Magazine Fall 2015 issue I felt like I could let a few pieces go and begin to rotate a bit.

Table setting Dec 2015! I LOVE the icy winter look of this! The vintage moonstone glass dishes lend themselves so nicely with the blue! A few blue corsages add a nice touch, and a little Shiny Brite table top tree is always a favorite holiday accent of mine, plus you can’t go wrong with an artgoodies snowflake towel!
